Technical Consultants

 

This position will provide technical support to customers via telephone and site visits throughout the Madison area. Duties will include: installing hardware, software, or peripheral equipment; providing technical support to customers via phone and on-site visits, conduct computer diagnostics to determine nature of problems; evaluate computer system user requests and requirements; maintain or repair computers or related equipment; perform minor repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment install computer programs; write basic computer software, programs, or code program computers using existing software; test computer programs or systems

Hardware/Software Environment:
Intel based workstations and laptops; Server hardware primarily Dell and IBM. OS includes NT, 2000, 2003 and XP. Applications include VMware, Citrix, MS Exchange; Network: Cisco routers and switches.

Recommended Skills:
- Customer communication skills
- NT, 2000, XP, 2003 Server/Workstation & Monitoring Skills
- Wide Area Networking
- MS Active Directory & Exchange
- TCP/IP networking
- Certifications in Microsoft, Citrix, Cisco and or VMWare a plus.

Requirements:

- College degree in networks, technology systems or similar or three years of technical work experience in the above areas.
