Seeking a Unix / Linux system administrator who has at least two (2) years experience.

Working knowledge of the following is desirable:

- Sun Solaris, Debian & CentOS
- Bash and Perl scripting
- PHP, Ruby, Rails, Mongrel, Java
- MySQL, SQL, Oracle
- General networking knowledge - TCP/IP, Ethernet, LAN, WAN, IP, Routers
- Cisco Router and Switch Technology

Experience with Telephony Protocols and Interfaces, T-1,E-1, PRI, QSIG and Analog trunking a plus

The Unix / Linux System administrator will be responsible for assisting internal and external customers in system diagnostics and resolution of technical problems, system outages, maintenance and monitoring. There will a need for strong technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. This position requires a basic knowledge of Unix and Linux variants, scripting and web programming as well as a working knowledge of core network infrastructure and TCP/IP networking. Good telephone skills, etiquette, and communication skills are a must.

Responsibilities:
- Monitoring and maintenance of system functionality
- Processing helpdesk tickets
- Supporting customer Unix / Linux systems and installations
- Communicating with customers, vendors, and partners.
